About Me

Originally from Nottingham, I left the East Midlands and ventured west for University. Graduating in 2010 with a First Class Honours in Media and Communication where I specialised in Web and New Media, I went straight into employment in a graphic design agency in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter for three years before moving on to Made Media where I currently help make the internet pretty (and functional too, of course).

I primarily build and develop websites but when I get a chance, I also design, such as DBK or Jewellery Quarter. These can be completely from scratch or elaborating on initial designs and expanding it across the entire site I'm building. I take sites from flat designs right through to the finished live version. This includes setting up server space, pointing domains, installing wordpress and turning the HTML pages I've created into fully functioning PHP wordpress templates.

I’ve had the chance to work with clients from a variety of sectors including: radio, education, property, financial services, professional services and sport, including athletics, through my work with Birmingham based Birchfield Harriers. More recently I've entered into the arts sector through my current employment which has allowed me to work with clients in the US and Australia, such as Mebourne Symphony Orchestra and the ATT Centre in Dallas.

Having a passion for social media, I like to make sure I’m following and keeping on top of the latest trends, part of the latest network or downloading the latest apps to my phone.

When I’m not working I like to spend times with good friends, Yelping, visiting new cities, catching a movie and grabbing a few drinks along the way, naturally. I like to keep fit by swimming twice a week and eating healthily when and where I can. I also like to catchup on industry news by reading online blogs and I occasionally write reviews for GeekTown.co.uk.

In 2009 I set up and continue to run International Drag Day, an annual event to celebrate drag artists worldwide.
